The goal is not to collect formulas. It is to select the correct model, manage units, identify assumptions, and judge whether a result is reasonable for the equipment or system described.

Land and water work covers hydrology, surveying, hydraulics, pumps, irrigation, drainage, soil and water conservation, aquaculture engineering, watershed concepts, and resource management. Structures, environment, and bioprocess coverage brings in agricultural buildings, loads, materials, planning, environmental control, waste management, refrigeration, cold storage, drying, processing, and postharvest systems. Allied competencies include mathematics, engineering science, feasibility studies, project management, research, GIS and information systems, law, standards, and ethics.

Review timeline

Use a fourteen-week engineering plan with cumulative problem solving

A fourteen-week plan gives many graduates enough space to rebuild fundamentals. Use the first two weeks for diagnostics, algebra, calculus, statistics, mechanics, thermodynamics, and unit discipline. Spend three weeks on power, energy, and machinery; three on land and water resources; and three on structures, environment, and bioprocess. Use the final three weeks for mixed sets, full mock exams, error correction, formula recall, and examination logistics.

A shorter schedule should compress sessions, not erase a subject group. Working candidates can solve a small set of problems on weekdays and reserve longer weekend blocks for lectures and timed assessments.
